Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 August 2026. This policy explains what HiAir collects and why.
1. Who we are
HiAir is a wellness assistant for outdoor heat and air quality. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Controller contact: hello@hiair.io.
2. Data we collect
- Account: email, authentication identifiers (email, Sign in with Apple, or Google via Supabase)
- Profile: persona, optional date of birth (13+), language, optional location (when you allow it)
- Private wellness logs: symptom journal, risk scores, recommendations (not shared with other users)
- Apple Health / Health Connect: only after you tap Continue and grant the system permission; daily/hourly aggregates, not raw sensor streams; we do not write health data back
- Purchases: App Store / Play transaction identifiers needed to unlock Premium
- Device/push tokens if you enable notifications
- Operational logs: path, status, latency, request id (no advertising ID)
3. Why we process data
- Provide personalized outdoor-risk and wellness guidance
- Deliver optional alerts you enable
- Verify subscriptions and keep the service secure
- Optional AI explanations of already-computed risk (no ads, no sale of data)
4. Legal basis
- Contract: account, core app features, paid Premium
- Consent: location, HealthKit/Health Connect, optional wellness inputs
- Legitimate interest: security, abuse prevention, reliability
5. Sharing
We use processors that help run the service: Supabase (auth/database), Cloudflare (hosting/API), Open-Meteo (weather/air quality), OpenAI (optional explanations), and Apple/Google for sign-in and store billing. We do not sell personal data. We do not use data for third-party advertising. We do not track you across apps (no ATT / IDFA).
6. Retention and deletion
We keep account-linked data while the account is active. In Settings you can export your data or delete your account. Deletion removes HiAir-stored personal data that we are not legally required to retain, and we revoke Sign in with Apple tokens when you confirm that path. Store subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google until you cancel them there.
7. Your rights
Depending on your region you may request access, correction, export, or deletion. Use in-app export/delete or email hello@hiair.io.
8. Children
HiAir accounts are for users 13 and older. A “children outdoor” persona is guidance for an adult account holder, not a child account.
